“ You can take the sweet up outta my tea, but you’re never gonna take the south outta me.”
I’ve spent much of my life pondering how the world works so I can help others make sense of it too. I guess it’s no surprise that I absolutely love what I do - creating art, learning hard lessons, and helping empower other creatives to take the leap themselves.
I did not grow up in a particularly artistic family or in a town that would be considered a beacon of art, but when the bug bit me in 8th grade, I had no choice but to trade in my baseball cleats for ballet slippers. I really felt I had discovered a world that I belonged in - everyone was a little “weird,” - just like me. Following an intense period of performing arts magnet schooling and earning a musical theatre degree in the great Steel City, I made the move to NYC with $1000, a single suitcase, and a guitar. My adventures came brought me through 5 years of performing professionally across N. America, honing my skills in visual design, social media strategy, and even building a micro roasting coffee company.
In 2020, I made the move from the big city to historic Franklin, TN where I have continue to collaborate with artists both musically and visually.
